The Fourth of July is coming up this Thursday, so where is the best place to catch fireworks? Here's a list of some of the celebrations happening around the capital region.
June 28 -Jumpin'Jack's- Located in Scotia, the annual celebration kicks off at 7pm with a Water Ski show. City Beat will perform live at 8pm and the fireworks begin at dark.
June 29 -Lebanon Valley Speedway- Berkshire Bank presents The Most Unbelievable Fireworks Show at Lebanon Valley. The event is from 5-10pm.
June 30 - July 4 -Ticonderoga- The popular town-wide celebration has a ton of family friendly events. It begins with a block party on June 30 from 8-10pm and will end with fireworks on the 4th.The entire schedule of events can be found here.
July 3 - 6 -Six Flags Great Escape- The Coca-Cola July 4th Fest includes rides, food, fireworks and more.
July 3 -Mabee Farms- Schenectady County's Independence Day Celebration features a performance by The Refrigerators. There will be food, beverage and craft vendors as well as free activities for the family.
July 3 -Crandall Park- The Glens Falls Symphony presents it's Summer Pops Concert and Independence Day celebration. There will be food vendors and kids activities. The concert begins at 7pm with fireworks at dusk.
July 4 -Rivers Casino and Resort- The 4th of July Celebration features live entertainment from Tramps Like Us. The event is free to the public.
July 4 -Schoharie County Sunshine Fairgrounds- The celebration begins at 1pm with family friendly activities at the fairgrounds. A parade will kick off at 5pm and fireworks at 9pm.
July 4 -Downtown Saratoga- Saratoga's All-American Celebration will feature the Firecracker 4 Road Race. It will also host the Annual Citizens Ceremony of the Saratoga National Historical Park. The main event takes place at Congress Park at 6:30pm. The Audiostars will perform outside of the Canfield Casino. Fireworks at 9:15pm.
July 4 -Clifton Commons- A parade starts in front of Shenendehowa and ends at Clifton Commons in Clifton Park. Clifton Commons hosts the celebration with rides, games, craft and food vendors and fireworks.
July 4 -Tri-Valley Cats- The Tri-City Valley Cats take on the Hudson Valley Renegades at the Joe Bruno Stadium. Fireworks will start after the game.
July 4 -Empire State Plaza- This family friendly annual celebration will include a naturalization ceremony, a military flyover, vendors and music by Dennis DeYoung of STYX.
Bonus - July 12 -Downtown Schenectady- Schenectady County SummerNight 2019 is a free family friendly block party. Fun starts at 5pm and includes Smash Mouth headlining the yearly concert.
