Another amazing Leatherstocking Honor Flight to Washington this past weekend. 50 WWII Korean War, and Vietnam Veterans on the flight. Always one of the highlights is their opportunity to meet Senator Bob Dole at the World War II Memorial.
It’s very special that the Senator takes the time to come out in all kinds of weather to meet the Vets. And I finally got a chance to get a photo op with him.
Thanks to everyone who came to Albany Airport Saturday for the send-off ceremony including Gunny Roman from Toys for Tots who had some special words for all the Vets going on the trip. Here’s some photos including one of my wife, Rhonda, and I placing some actual sand from Iwo Jima at the WW II Memorial.
