The City of Troy is expanding its snow removal operations to additional streets following last weekend's winter storm. Residents are being reminded about specific parking restrictions that will be enforced Monday (February 3).

Mayor Carmella Mantello has announced that several more streets have been designated for snow clearing efforts. Residents on portions of Oakwood Avenue, 10th Street, Ninth Street, River Street, and all of Ingalls Avenue, Glen Avenue, and Middleburgh Avenue must follow the temporary parking rules to facilitate snow removal.

On Monday, parking will be prohibited on the odd side of these streets from 9 a.m. until noon, followed by no parking on the even side from noon until 3 p.m. Vehicles that violate these restrictions may be ticketed and towed, according to city officials.

The city has already begun snow removal operations on other streets. These operations started Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with "No Parking" signs placed on affected streets.

The additional streets were added to the snow removal plan after an assessment by the city's Quality-of-Life Action Crews, who continue to clear accumulated snow from the recent winter storm. City officials emphasize that these streets are designated for snow removal only and are not being added to Troy's snow emergency route.

Residents with questions about the snow removal operations can contact the Department of Public Works Dispatch at 518-270-4579. A complete list of streets designated for snow removal can be found on the city of Troy's website.
