Jack Osbourne delivered a heartfelt message during the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, honoring his late father, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, nearly two months after his passing.

During a heartfelt speech, surrounded by his family, Jack addressed all those watching, expressing his wish to be present as they celebrated Ozzy's remarkable musical journey. He said, "It would make him incredibly happy to see these great musicians carry on his legacy and help inspire the next generation of rockers."

A tribute performance during the show featured a medley of Ozzy's biggest hits performed by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, alongside Yungblud and Nuno Bettencourt. Yungblud began with "Crazy Train," adding his own twist to the iconic song. He then performed "Changes," a song he has sung on tour since Ozzy's death. The tribute concluded with Tyler and Perry performing "Mama, I’m Coming Home," joined by Yungblud.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away earlier this summer on July 22nd at the age of 76 after battling Parkinson's disease. Jack Osbourne shared in a YouTube video that he learned of his father's death through a knock on his door early in the morning. He described the immediate aftermath as filled with sadness, pain, and a sense of relief that Ozzy was no longer suffering. Jack emphasized that Ozzy's legacy will continue, saying, "Ozzy Osbourne does not end because he passed away on July 22. As I've been saying, he's exploding through the universe, and we're all seeing it."

Ozzy's final performance was a reunion with his Black Sabbath bandmates at a charity concert in July, raising funds for causes like Cure Parkinson’s and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
