The New York State Food Festival, set to take place on Wednesday, August 13, at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, will feature the renowned rock band Blue Oyster Cult as the headline musical act. Known for their classic hits like "Burnin' For You" and "Don't Fear the Reaper," Blue Oyster Cult is expected to draw a large crowd to the festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The annual festival is a free event that brings together a variety of food vendors and culinary creators, offering attendees a full day of food, music, and community spirit in the heart of Albany. According to NEWS10 ABC, the festival is organized by the New York State Office of General Services and supported by sponsors such as Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast.
Jeanette Moy, Commissioner of the New York State Office of General Services, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, "New York State’s annual Food Festival brings people from across the Capital Region to the Empire State Plaza to enjoy great food, live music, and the spirit of community."
In addition to live performances, the festival will feature a wide array of food and beverage options, as well as other entertainment activities, ensuring a fun-filled day for attendees of all ages.
