35 years ago today, July 13th, PYX 106 was part of the world wide broadcast of Live Aid. The concerts were held at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia and Wembley Stadium in London. It was at Wembley where Queen did their legendary set.

Other performers included The Who, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Bryan Adams, Tina Turner, The Cars, Hall & Oates, Phil Collins (who played in both London and Philly) and so many more.

Masterminded by Bob Geldof the concert went 18 hours and helped raise millions for starving people in Ethiopia.
