Mac & Cheese Bowl Cancelled At Siena College Due To Coronavirus Fears

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese in a Bowl on a Table

An event that we've been looking forward to going to and seeing all of you at is the 11th annual Mac & Cheese Bowl. However we just learned today that the event taking place this Saturday (March 14, 2020) has been cancelled. Another unfortunate victim of the coronavirus.

Here's what they said on their website:

The Food Bank learned this morning that due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, Siena College is extending spring break for all students and cancelling on-campus activities with more than 50 people, so the 11th Annual Mac -n- Cheese Bowl is unfortunately cancelled. We anticipated raising more than $60,000 this year, the equivalent of 250,000 meals. Though we are unable to hold the event this year, we hope to recoup some of those funds to continue to feed people in need.

They are also offering refunds if you already purchased your tickets.

Here is the info from the press release:

If you purchased a ticket from Price Chopper and would like a refund, you may visit the Food Bank at 965 Albany-Shaker Road either Thursday 8am-6pm, Friday 8am-4pm, or Saturday 8am-12pm and bring your tickets for a refund. If you purchased on our website and would like a refund, please email Joslyn McArdle at joslynm@regionalfoodbank.net and include your name and the email address you purchased the tickets with.
