We do a lot of features for stunning women here on the site, but did you know that some of them are homegrown? That's right! Our latest crush is the absolutely stunning Leah Stanley, aka Voluptuousleah over on Instagram.
Leah is a 31-year-old Plus Size model and Influencer that calls the Capital Region home and has been modeling for just about three years now. In that time she as amassed an Instagram following over 162,000 followers. She's certainly doing something right.
What's your favorite part about stepping in front of the camera?
My favorite part is that I get to be part of a movement, make a difference and represent bodies that aren't seen. Bodies like mine are RARELY seen in front of the camera, so it's important for me to keep pushing for more! My second favorite is that I literally just have fun. I let go, it's that kind of work that's fun, hours pass by and I'll have no idea. I've literally just cackled in front of the camera for a good two minutes. HAHA
How much of an impact do you think you've had on the body positive movement?
I know I've made an impact but I don't really like to gauge it or put any sort of number or label on how big of an impact I've made. I've always said that, if I've made a difference in one persons life, then that's a pretty damn big impact. To be able to help someone change the way they view their body and self in general, while showing them that they've had confidence all along. Yeah, if I can do that for just one person, then that's quite the impact.
What hobbies keep you busy?
Blogging & influencing tend to keep me quite busy! (You find me anywhere and everywhere as @voluptuousleah) I create content on the weekends, which includes styling, location scouting, and snacking of course! I'm also a dog mom, I have an 8 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Sunday's are our day. We'll go for a ride, get a dog snack, hit the park, and create content for her Instagram. Yep, that's right, my dog Luna has her own IG and you can follow her, @voluptuousluna - give her a follow, she'd love it!
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
UGH, I've always been dying to visit Greece. All I can picture is a gorgeous photoshoot with a gorgeous dress and my silly smile. The scenery, the people, the food, architecture, it all draws me right in. Also, when I was in my teens, I read a book about a group of friends who travel to Greece and that really jumpstarted my need to go. LMAO
Pizza or burgers?
Pizza and burgers, and probably a burger on a damn pizza. You okay with that?
