The 1990s were an interesting time for Metallica and their fans. The beginning of the decade saw them create their most successful album to date with The Black Album. The mid 90s saw them change their identity. They cut their hair, they changed their sound to less thrash and more hard rock. It certainly divided the fanbase, but at the end of the day Metallica rocks and that can't be disputed.
We found this video floating around YouTube of Metallica here in Albany back in 1997. They were touring off of the Load album that had been released in 1996, and at this time (we think this was April) Reload had not been released yet. They played to a packed then Pepsi Arena and this show has gone down in Metallica history.
