Zac Williams in Milton, NY has gone out for this Fourth of July. It took him weeks of planning to get it jsut right.
He tells out sister station WGY,
Besides having very healthy turf, "stripes" as we call them are made by the sunlight reflecting off the grass blades from different directions. So the grass that looks dark is rolled toward the camera, the lighter color is folded away, thus reflecting the sunlight.
