REVIEW: Metallica's Enter Night Pilsner

When I heard that Metallica was putting out a beer I knew that I would need to give it a try. I was finally able to track down a six pack of it at my local beverage center and was excited to grab the Enter Night Pilsner from Stone Brewing.

Yeah, I didn't think it was going to be a Pilsner with a name like Enter Night. I thought it would be a porter or a brown ale, but this was a really good beer. Something that everyone can enjoy without it being too overpowering. A lot fo craft brews can be on the hoppy side, but not this one.

Enter Night Pilsner

5.7% alcohol

In collaboration with Metallica, this beer represents the cataclysmic collision of two uncompromising supernatural forces. It's a crisp and refreshing Pilsner that, much like the band, transcends genres, shatters preconceptions and challenges convention.

When I take a sip of this I feel like I am at a rock show. It's easy to drink but doesn't taste like something cheap. It's full bodied and has great flavor.

As far as pilsner's go, I think this is pretty good.

The only thing I can be critical on is the can design. I think it looks like it was rushed a bit. It's got the Metallica font, but looks like a quick photoshop design to get it to print.

But hey, if the only thing you don't like it the label that's probably a winner.

8/10
