A New Jersey boy got a welcome distraction from his battle with brain cancer when the Howell Township Police Department made him an honorary officer in a surprise ceremony. Jake Honig was at home when officers showed up with sirens blaring as they came to give the seven-year-old the good news.
Detective Sergeant Christian Antunez says that it was because of Honig’s “extraordinary bravery and courage” that they made him an honorary officer. And they even brought him his own set of wheels - an official police motorcycle in his size.
