The U.S. upset Ghana yesterday to win their first match of the World Cup, 2 to 1.  Our first goal came just 30 seconds into the game . . . the fifth fastest goal in World Cup history.  Clint Dempsey dribbled past a couple defenders and scored.

It went downhill from there.  Jozy Altidore . . . one of our best players . . . left the game with a hamstring injury.  Then Dempsey broke his nose after getting kicked in the face.

And Ghana tied it up with eight minutes left.

But the U.S. scored on a corner kick four minutes later.  Ghana's the team that eliminated the U.S. in the last TWO World Cups.
