Whatever happened to kids pulling SENIOR PRANKS like hanging a sign on the school that says, "This place sucks"? Yeah, it's not funny . . . but at least it doesn't lead to JAIL.
The senior class of Teaneck High School in Teaneck, New Jersey pulled their prank around 2:00 A.M. yesterday . . . and it went DISASTROUSLY BAD.
Sixty-two kids broke into the school in the middle of the night and trashed the place. They put petroleum jelly on the doorknobs, flipped over chairs and desks, wrote graffiti on the walls, and some of them even PEED in the hallways.
They didn't realize they'd set off the school's alarm when they broke in though . . . so cops reported to the scene. And the cops decided to ARREST all of them since the damage to the school clearly went beyond a PRANK.
Twenty-four of them were over 18, so they were charged with burglary and criminal mischief. The other 38 were under 18, so they were just turned over to their parents but could be facing charges in juvenile court.
There are 344 seniors at Teaneck, so 18% of the class was caught during the prank. The principal said he was, quote, "deeply hurt and disappointed."
