D-Day, June 6, 1944 when U.S. led Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in an invasion that ultimately brought down Nazi Germany. We've all heard the stories, read the books, saw news reports and watched the movies, but only those who actually lived it can understand what happened on June 6, 1944.
