Steve Miller has been celebrating the 40th anniversary of his 1973 album, The Joker, by playing it in concert, which has resulted in a new release.

Available now through his website is a new live version of the album. He says, "It's a great record...and we decided not to give it to a record company and we're putting it out." In addition to his website, he says they also plan to sell it at his concerts.

Miller started his summer tour last night just outside San Diego on a bill with Journey and Tower of Power.
