For Motley Crue, the end of life on the road begins tonight (Wednesday).
The Final Tour, with opening act Alice Cooper, gets under way in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The group has scheduled 72 dates in North America this year, wrapping up November 22nd in Spokane, Washington.
The Crue promises to that this will be their final tour, even signing contracts saying none of them can tour using the Crue name in the future. Singer Vince Neil says signing the deal was a way to protect themselves and their fans.
In other Crue news, the band's autobiography, The Dirt, has just been released as an E-book. A film adaptation of the book is slated to be released in 2015.
