Mike Love of The Beach Boys has released a solo single to honor the birthday of his late friend George Harrison. Written a decade ago but previously unreleased, "Pisces Brothers" recalls the 1968 visit Love and Harrison made to India where they studied with the Maharishi Mahesh Yoga. They were among a group of celebrity/students that also included Paul McCartney, Donovan and Mia Farrow. In a statement, Love says, "The song is really sentimental for me, and meant to honor George Harrison’s remarkable contribution to music. And how, in this one moment in time, we got together, as the song says, not fortune or for fame, but for enlightenment.”

The title refers to the astrological sign the pair share -- Mike's birthday is March 15th. He remains an ardent follower of the meditation techniques he learned on that visit to India -- and credits it for his abstinence from drugs, a problem that engulfed his cousin and collaborator Brian Wilson.
