What turned out to be the last show ever by the original Led Zeppelin took place 34 years ago today (July 7th, 1980) in Berlin, the final date of a European tour. The quartet had a U.S. tour scheduled in the fall, but that was cancelled after drummer John Bonham drank himself to death in late September.
