Attention, Parrotheads worldwide. Jimmy Buffett has launched, an online channel where he's streaming concerts. His Detroit show on Friday was the seventh he's done via the outlet and Buffett is very pleased with both the feedback he's getting and the average of around 10,000 viewers per show.

"It makes it a Parrothead world now, not just a nation," he tells Billboard of the channel's global reach. "My friends in Bora Bora now can punch (the shows) up on the screen and watch it while they're having dinner." Buffett says that since he's taking more time off from performing each year, Margaritaville TV will enable him to continue to maintain his presence with his fans.

Buffett also says he plans to do other things via the channel in the future, including special events and even possibly new music. "We can go into the (recording) studio and let people in there and watch us while we're doing it."

His next Margaritaville TV concert is August 21st, from Jones Beach Amphitheater on Long Island, New York.
