James Taylor threw a change-up last night during his performance of the national anthem at Boston's Fenway Park before Game 2 of the World Series.

It's unclear if Taylor did it on purpose -- perhaps to suggest that "America The Beautiful" would be a better national anthem -- or if he had a momentary brain freeze. Whatever the case, Taylor handled the transition with style and grace.

He returned during the seventh inning stretch accompanied by his wife and young son, along with survivors, family members and first responders involved in the Boston Marathon tragedy, and sang -- you guessed it -- "America The Beautiful."
