Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott and his side project, the Down ‘n’ Outz, are releasing a new album.
Formed in 2009 to open for Mott the Hoople's reunion tour, the band does songs connected to Mott. Among the songs on this new album, The Further Adventures of… Down 'n' Outz, are "Rock and Roll Queen," "Marionette," "One of the Boys" and "Violence."
Elliott says, "These songs make up a huge portion of who I am and I feel incredibly privileged to have been able to record them and hopefully give them a new lease of life, which, quite frankly, is long overdue."
Mott singer Ian Hunter, a huge influence on Elliott, says, "I’m blown away by these recordings... These songs really suit Joe’s voice also. It’s a whole different side to him and the project gets my approval!"
The Further Adventures of… Down 'n' Outz will be out on April 22nd and there are plans for a tour late this year and next.
