Woman Faces Domestic Violence Charge

Sunday night, August 17, around 11:56 p.m., officers from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police arrived at Regency Park Apartments Building #5 and found and arrested a woman and charged her with domestic violence, authorities said.

Samantha Wood, 27, of Queensbury is charged with Harassment and Criminal Contempt for hitting a person in the face who had an order of protection against her, investigators said.

Officers said the violence occurred the previous evening and Wood was charged Saturday with Assault for biting and scratching the victim. The same order of protection was violated and Wood was charged with a second count of Criminal Contempt 1st, a felony, authorities said. Wood was processed on all charges and placed in police lock up pending arraignment.

The arrest was made by Patrol Officers C.L. Howse and M. LaVallie.
