A Troy man, banned from the same grocery store before, is charged with larceny and drug possession after being caught shoplifting baby formula and meat, worth about $125, according to State Police in Brunswick.

Robert Lewis, 40, was arrested Sunday, May 11, for Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (7th Degree) and trespassing, police said. Lewis walked out of the Price Chopper in Brunswick with the formula and food without paying for the items, according to investigators.

While searching Lewis, Troopers found a small amount of crack cocaine in his possession. Police say Lewis had been banned from this Price Chopper in the past which led to the trespassing charge, police said. He was ticketed and released and is due back in court on May 14.
