A Hudson Valley man is facing charges after he was accused of flying an aerial drone equipped with a video camera near a medical facility, according to the New York State Police Troop in Kingston.

David Beesmer, 49, of Lake Katrine, is charged with Unlawful Surveillance (2nd Degree), a Felony. Investigators said that Beesmer was an aerial drone approximately 10-15 feet from the windows of a medical facility in the Town of Ulster.

Several of the windows were examination rooms with patients in them at the time and they and medical staff saw the contraption, police said.
