ALBANY, N.Y. (AP/WGY) _ The second round of severe thunderstorms in two days has flooded roads and knocked out power to several thousand customers in eastern New York.
Utilities report about 3,000 outages in the Hudson Valley on Thursday evening after a series of storms crossing the state bought scattered, local flooding.
The storms struck as crews were restoring power to areas hit by storms on Wednesday. Most of the outages Wednesday were in neighboring Washington, Warren and Saratoga counties north of Albany.
A portion of Route 9 through Latham between the traffic circle at Route 2 and Route 155 was closed Thursday afternoon due to flooding.
