After another accident on Route 7 in Rensselaer County, two lawmakers are calling for a state review of safety conditions of the road. County lawmakers Stan Brownell and Lester Goodermote are calling for the review specifically targeting the area between the Tomhannock Reservoir and the Vermont state line.

This past Friday, a multi vehicle pile up on the highway in the Potter Hill area, resulted in injuries and a shutdown of the highway for some time. 

There have been multiple accidents since 2011, including one where a propane tanker left the road and burned in a ravine...that accident resulted in some homes having to be evacuted.
